For the last 1999 try, we select Based in Germany with I choose this dog for his imposing stature, but also for his extremely soft nature. It's the first time that I see a male endowed with an incomparable tenderness. His origins make him a stallion easilly recommendable. We strongly wish that this wedding succeed. I'm sure that it will reward the few suitors that have been expexting for a long time a puppy issued from our breeding. The happy choosen : Jonchée |

----Within the framework of a cardiological study on the dog's "giant breeds", the Dr Veterinary F.GABRIEL obtained that breed studied be the NEWFOUNDLAND. What a chance for us ! The cardiological control exists since a long time in the USA. It appears that a part of the population got effectively troubles. To avoid any transmissions, these subjects are logically advised against reproduction. In Europe this control is not compulsory for reproduction, but already, a few associations conscious of the problem seriousness, have already enforced it to their members (quality security). ----To make Dr GABRIEL's study interesting to run, this exam is totally "FREE". Patrick BERNAUX, diver and educator for the Picardie waterworks base,tell us about the 28/11/1999 session : "The water was 6,5° against 6° on the 21st november. It was not much but however we have a lot of fun. There were 7 dogs to make work. Furthermore, a "baby" came that could have make a few break down. Thanks to Patrick and his wife Marie-Hélène (in charge of the base), for the good mood that they communicate to us communiquent, the advices that they know giving as well as their time. It's studied for ! ..Certain persons, too much considerated with their dear doggie, think that in winter, the dog feels better being in the warm with his owner. Don't you believe it, cause at the contrary, and particularly the Newfoundland, got an apropriate coat. We must not forget that in Canada for example, the dogs sometimes work with temperatures of -20°C. Without wanting to push to the extreme, think all the same that the cold will favour the beauty of his coat. ..If your dog is not active, you will have care to avoid him draughts thanks to a kennel for example. Then when coldness is really present (from 5°C), you can also lightly improve his ration. For this ask for advise to your breeder. J.PAPIN |

During all the SUNDAY 5 December, Sébastien ARCHETTI Océan's owner will take part to the Bar-le-Duc Telethon. The test consists in a relay between various "utility" dogs from different breeds. For the case OCEAN will be a "draught dog" carrying a sick person. We wish to Sébastien and also to his dog, a good and pleasant day. |
